Tom Bradshaw hungry for goals with Millwall

Millwall’s summer signing Tom Bradshaw has revealed that he is hungry to find the scoresheet for the Lions having failed to do so during his opening five appearances for the club. The 26-year-old joined the south London outfit on a short-term loan until January where the club have the obligation to buy him on a permanent basis.

Speaking in a press conference, Bradshaw said: “It’s gone really well so far, as well as I had expected after speaking to the gaffer. I’ve got used to the surrounding area, which I knew quite well anyway from coming down to see my girlfriend, and I’ve really enjoyed my first few weeks. Training has been intense and I’ve really enjoyed it. I think I’ve managed to get into my head what the gaffer wants from me and understanding the way Millwall play, and I’ve enjoyed getting some game time. Hopefully I can get my first goal soon.”

Bradshaw was Cup-tied for the midweek League Cup game against Fulham which the team lost by a 3-1 scoreline but he has the opportunity to make a strong impression when Neil Harris’ side face Sheffield United at home this weekend. Over the years, Millwall have been renowned for their impressive home run which has often saved them from the relegation zone but they have not quite managed to replicate the feat this time around with just one win from five matches.

Nonetheless, they can take some positive from the fact that they always have the fans support behind them and this should encourage them to improve on the league form which they did with success during the second half of the previous campaign. The Capital outfit were one of the most in-form teams behind only Fulham during the backend of last season and this eventually witnessed them finish just three points behind Derby County, who secured the final playoff position.
